Journal Advertising

SIAM publishes 14 of the world's leading applied mathematics journals. Space ads in these journals or direct mail campaigns to journal subscriber lists will help you to target very specific audiences, whether you are a publisher, hardware or software supplier, or scientific instrument manufacturer.

Rates and Sizes
$650.00 per full page advertisement (5.5" x 8.5")
This rate is based on one-color advertiser-supplied camera-ready artwork.

Agency Commission
A 15% discount off gross billing is extended to recognized advertising agencies for display and classified display advertising. Commissions are not allowed on production charges or on classified ads or announcements.

Deadlines
Insertion orders, electronic files, and artwork are due eight weeks prior to the first day of the month of publication.

Electronic Submission Requirements
Ads may be sent on a 3.5" disk or Zip disk to the address below, via e-mail to marketing@siam.org, or via SIAM's FTP server (ftp.siam.org). Ads should be in EPS or PostScript® format and 100% to size. Contact the Marketing Representative for details. PDF preferred. Please use postscript fonts (not TrueType) when creating an ad. Please embed all fonts when you create the PDF. If you need further information regarding the creation of your ad, please contact sellers@siam.org.

Mechanical Requirements
Offset negatives or same-size mechanicals (we also accept EPS, PostScript®, or disk). 85-133 line screen. No bleeds. If the artwork submitted needs any alterations, such as enlargement, reduction, or type changes, a minimum $25.00 fee will be charged in addition to the cost of space. Production material will be returned upon request.

Composition and Design
SIAM will prepare advertisements for those who cannot provide camera-ready artwork. There is a $50.00 minimum charge, and complete quotes will be given after a review of all work involved.

Advertising Acceptance and Copy Restrictions
SIAM reserves the right to reject any advertisement not considered suitable for publication.
